'Back of Hotel Asheville. A four story brick-clad reinforced concrete structure. Recessed veranda on 2nd level, corbelled brick cornice and stepped gable showing former "The Rathskiller' restaurant on Walnut Street.
Dr. Meacham's sanitarium. The wards were built off to the side of this structure. The Spanish style brick building was covered in white stucco and was to be the finest private sanitarium ever built said Meacham.

'St. Lawrence Catholic Church, a Roman Catholic Church was dedicated in 1909 and was not designated a basilica until 1996. It was built in the Spanish Baroque Revival style.'
