Description
This 1979 shows Sim Jessan at the Oconaluftee Indian Village carving a piece of wood into a bow. Bow and arrow construction are demonstrated in the part of the village that specializes in explaining the significance of woodwork in Cherokee life and culture. Cherokee craftspeople throughout the village also demonstrate beadwork, pottery making, fingerweaving, basket weaving, making and using blowguns and animal traps, and making dugout canoes.
