Description
Betty Craig DuPree (1929-2012) was born and raised in Cherokee. After marrying, she left Cherokee to live in the Southwest where she worked in arts and crafts galleries and learned about Native American crafts. Returning to the Qualla Boundary in 1973, DuPree became the manager of Qualla Arts and Crafts Mutual, a post she held for 24 years.
