Description

This photograph of Nancy Sue Waldroup (left) and Wanda Scroggs was taken by Doris Ulmann at the John C. Campbell Folk School, in 1934, during the celebration known as Old Folks Day. The children are pictured in the window of the Log House Museum, which housed pioneer artifacts and served as a backdrop for the school's heritage events. Waldroup's name was sometimes spelled Nancy Lee Waldrup. Scroggs was the daughter of Brasstown general store owner Fred Scroggs and her family was instrumental in supporting the school's creation.
