Description
This photograph of Lucius Leander Scroggs, also known as L.L. Scroggs, was taken by Doris Ulmann in the summer of 1933. Scroggs was a member of the Brasstown community who was significant in supporting the creation of the John C. Campbell Folk School in that the land donated to the school came from his family. Scroggs was born in 1857. He married Lillie Alloway "Granny" Strange Scroggs on August 18, 1886. Scroggs died March 31, 1935.
