Description

This photograph shows an arrangement of items offered for sale by Allanstand Cottage Industries during the 1920s and early 1930s. Depicted are cornhusk dolls made by Margaret Revis of Buncombe County, along with several pine needle baskets and rustic brooms. Also included are several pieces of furniture, a bird feeder, a bird house, and various miniatures. A coverlet forms the backdrop. The photograph was taken by Howard Studio, Asheville, N.C. and was probably used in a promotional brochure or price list as evidenced by the product inscriptions.
