Weaving -- Appalachian Region, Southern
Description
This photographic postcard depicts an array of handwoven items including coverlets, throws, pillows, and rugs. The photograph dates to the early 1900s, but nothing is known about the items or location of the scene. This postcard was among the files of weaving revivalist Frances Goodrich and it is unclear whether these items were produced through her Allanstand Cottage Industries or whether she used this as a part of her research on traditional weaving.
