Description

This memorial to Frances L. Goodrich was written by Olive Dame Campbell shortly after Goodrich's death in 1944. The memorial appears to have been read by Campbell, most likely at the memorial service sponsored by the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild where several of the founding members spoke of Goodrich's contributions to the craft movement. In this memorial, Campbell tells of meeting Goodrich in 1908 or 1909, about Goodrich's nature to see the best in people, and her untiring work with Allanstand Cottage Industries, the Conference of Southern Mountain Workers, and the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild.
