This brochure was written by Frances Goodrich to promote the incorporation of the Allanstand Cottage Industries in 1916. The brochures traces the brief history of the business from its formation in 1896, the revival of natural dying and weaving in rural western North Carolina, the opening of a salesroom and distribution center in Asheville in 1908, and development of a healthy marketplace outside of the region. Included is a subscription form for stockholders to send in $25 per share.
