Description
During 1944, Marian Heard collected information of the crafts of the mountain area - usually as a questionnaire. Minnie Klar writes that the rationing of materials for World War II has made it difficult to obtain items needed for quilting. She also comments that most of her workers have left the business, but "After the war, there is no doubt but that these people will return again to their mountain homes ...."
