Description

The Folk School looks forward to the end of the war, and while the school must adapt to changes caused by the war, students and staff continue to work on the farm, in the wood shop, and in the forge. "The Blotter", a mimeographed newsletter mailed out to past students every two months, continues to provide updates on the school and community. The Mountain Valley Creamery reports 1943 as the biggest year of production, with over $200,000 made. The Brasstown Savings and Loan continues its success as well. Short courses draw teachers from other rural school and focus on recreation, folk traditions, and country living.
