Description

This photograph taken around 1926 shows John C. Campbell Folk School founder, Olive Dame Campbell (right) and her sister, Daisy Dame (left), standing outside the school's Farm House. Daisy Dame, from Medford, Massachusetts, lived at the Folk School for a period of about a year when the school was founded in 1925. During that time Dame took numerous photographs of the school and its constructions. The Farm House was the only pre-existing building on the school's campus and served as a residence and administration building during the school's early years.
