This photograph, taken by Doris Ulmann in 1933 or 1934, depicts chair maker Jason Reed with his granddaughter. Reed, a native of Blairsville, Georgia, was a chair maker who was commissioned to produce chairs for the 1927 Dedication Day of the Community Room at the John C. Campbell Folk School.
