This illustrated catalog describes the classes offered at Penland School of Handicrafts, now Penland School of Crafts, during the summer of 1939. Course offerings included weaving, metal craft, jewelry making, pottery, shoe making, basketry, chair seat weaving, shuckery, carding, and spinning. The catalog also contains photographs of Edward Worst, student life, crafts and craft production. The cover is a woodcut of the Edward Worst Craft House. Descriptions of the school and the surrounding area also are included in the catalog.
