Description

This six-page document list the names of individuals who contributed money, logs, services, or labor towards the construction of the Edward F. Worst Craft House on the campus of Penland School of Handicrafts (now Penland School of Crafts). The building, named after the school's first weaving instructor, was erected during a community log-raising held in May 1935. The list of donors includes individuals who attended the 1934 and 1935 weaving institutes, residents of the Penland community, friends of the school and others wishing to be supportive of the project. Among those individuals contributing their services were Bayard Wootten who took photographs of the log raising and Burnley Weaver who carved the woodcut used on the log raising invitation.
