Description
This six-page brochure was printed for Qualla Arts and Crafts Mutual, the Cherokee artisan cooperative. It was produced by the Indian Arts and Crafts Board, part of the Department of Interior. The cover of the brochure includes a photograph of several baskets and a picture of basket weaver Eva Wolfe. The brochure interior discusses the goals and history of the guild and provides information on workshops, sales figures, and dividends. Notably, the brochure mentions the 1960 building campaign that resulted in the construction of a permanent home for the co-op and the inauguration of an exhibition program in 1969. An insert illustrates a tag that certifies the authenticity of work purchased through Qualla Arts.
