Description
This four-page sepia toned brochure was published by the Member’s Gallery of the Qualla Arts and Crafts Mutual, Inc. to accompany an exhibition held in May 1983. Pictured are a variety of white oak rib baskets baskets made by Minda Wolfe’s daughters: Katie, Ollie, Lillian, Annie, and Dinah. The brochure includes an image of Minda Hill Sequoyah Wolfe (1897-1983), reproduced from an Indian Arts and Crafts Board photograph. The brochure also credits Jonah Wolfe, the father of Wolfe’s daughters, who “taught them to gather all the materials needed for the frames, ribs, and splits.”
