Description

This pottery creamer has a green glaze on the outside and cream on the inside. It was made by W.B. Stephen of Pisgah Forest Pottery. The bottom is marked with the word "Pisgah." Walter Benjamin Stephen (1875-1961) also known as W.B. Stephen, founded Pisgah Forest Pottery around 1926 in Arden, North Carolina. It continued his Nonconnah Pottery of Tennessee, which he worked with his mother. Stephen moved to the Asheville area in 1913. It was donated to the Southern Highland Craft Guild by Margaret Decker.
