Description

This fox was carved from buckeye by Irma and James “Red” Bradley, members of the Soco community and Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Both are carvers, with James using a bandsaw to cut out a piece of wood and Irma finishing off the pieces with fine sandpaper. Their work was included in the 2009 exhibition “Cherokee Carvers: Tradition Renewed” at the Asheville Art Museum.
