Description

Mount LeConte Lodge was established in 1925 at the top of Mount LeConte, the third highest peak in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park behind Kuwohi (Clingmans Dome 1859-2024) and Mount Guyot. Originally the lodge was only a tent, then a single log cabin. Today's lodge can accommodate 50 hikers. There has never been any transportation to the lodge; all guests hike in.
