Description

Zebulon Weaver (1872-1948) was a lawyer and U.S. Representative from western North Carolina. He was a member of the North Carolina Park Commission and was involved in the land acquisition process that went towards establishment of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and development of the Blue Ridge Parkway. In this two page letter, Carter, counsel for the North Carolina Park Commission, exhorts Brummitt to support the trial of the Suncrest case before the small cases. It would be better to conduct appraisal of the Ravensford property in advance of the appeals trials in the Suncrest case and before trying the smaller cases in order to get a fair appraisement by the jury.
