This correspondence--a set of three letters--between Zebulon Weaver and Fred L. Weede, Manager at the Asheville Chamber of Commerce, centers around role of the Reforestation Act in the completion of the park project. Fred L. Weede to Zebulon Weaver, May 24, 1933 In this letter Weede expresses the support of the Asheville Chamber of Commerce and several other organizations for Weaver’s efforts at securing the completion of the park project. Zebulon Weaver to Fred L. Weede, May 29, 1933 In this letter Weaver states that he was fairly certain that the Reforestation Act would allow for land purchase for the park and that he would request the Senate to attach an amendment if necessary. Zebulon Weaver to Fred L. Weede, June 1, 1933 In this letter Weaver confirms that the Reforestation Act would cover the land purchases necessary completion of the park.
