Description

In this memorandum from G. A. Schulze, Assistant Forrester, to John D. Coffman, Chief Forester with the National Park Service, Schulze makes a case for the appointment of an assistant for Mr. Eakin having administrative authority over North Carolina side of the park. According to Schulze the current work of the assigned project superintendents and detached technicians in the North Carolina side, as compared to the greater interest and pressure shown by the Tennessee side, had led to an unintentional discrimination for the Tennessee side with regards to park development.
