Description

In this letter Eakin, Superintendent of the Park, tries to clarify his position with regards to an telegram sent by a Mr. Ludgate to Peterson, the Deputy Chief Architect of the National Park Service. According to Eakin brushing out fire trails was necessary for fire protection and contrary to Ludgate’s assertions this was approved by the Detached Landscape Architect.
