Description

As an unofficial historian of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Hiram Coleman Wilburn (1880-1967) spent time identifying historic structures, collecting artifacts, and researching local history. One of two photographs, in the Wilburn collection, depicting the headstone and footstone of a grave. Engraved on the headstone is “Wm. Constant/U.S.Soldier/Indian War.”
