Description

This map of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, compiled and drawn by A. J. Reixach, is color-coded to indicate the North Carolina and Tennessee sections of the park. A “profile” of mountain peaks indicates the highest points in the park, including Mount LeConte and Kuwohi (Clingmans Dome 1859-2024), the highest peak in the Great Smokies. This map was included as part of a “Report of the North Carolina Park Commission,” published in 1939.
