This map is part of a small notebook created by Horace Kephart (1862-1931), noted naturalist, woodsman, journalist, and author. After moving to western North Carolina in 1904, Kephart became fascinated by the Appalachian landscape and culture and collected clippings, photographs, and maps of the region throughout his life. The map is of the watersheds of Hazel and Eagle Creeks, with a key show scale and mapping data.
