Description

The four-page brochure contains a “Hymn to the Great Smokies” and is dedicated to the “Friends of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.” The words to the hymn were written by Eva Plamondon Boyd of West Asheville to music composed by Margaret Stringfield of Waynesville, North Carolina. The last page of the publication contains a short essay on the geography of “The Great Smokies,” noting that the Smokies are part of the Unaka system of mountains. Several points of high elevation are mentioned.
