Description

The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was established in 1933 as a public works program during the Great Depression. There were 22 camps located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Company 411 was located near Smokemont. Pictured is Nick Castora in front of the “first aid shack” and headquarters building. The fanciful photo-framing was made by Arrow Photo Service.
