Description
Portrait of Carmean and Burich. Carmean holds a pincushion from his grandmother, who taught him to cook, crochet and sew; and a portrait of The Pink Ladies, a San Francisco based project he participates in. He loves Asheville for the community, “funky diversity” and “how queer it is”. Burich wears his favorite hat and the crafting tools which represent his creativity and the pink costumes he creates each year. He was drawn to Asheville’s “liberal community and slow pace”.
