Description

The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was established in 1933 as a public works program during the Great Depression. There were 22 camps located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The archival materials in this collection relate to company 414 at CCC camp NP-4, located near Smokemont community in Swain County, North Carolina. This unidentified camp building sat along the edge of the Oconaluftee River.
