Description
This hand-lettered title page was once the cover for a series of drawings made by CCC enrollee, W. Alan Youngblood. Assigned to company 1460 at Camp David Chapman at Greenbrier, Youngblood was a member of the road construction crew and sketched the area and the crew’s activity using pencil on paper. Inside the front cover is a letter written by camp superintendent, L. W. Frierson applauding the veracity of Youngblood’s sketches. Originally, the cover, letter, and drawings were bound together with a cotton ribbon.
