Description

This photograph is of three members of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club: Carl Boger, Harvey Broome, and Herbert Hunze. The trio is taking the steep way around Alum Cave Bluffs on the south side of Mount LeConte. The photograph was taken in 1931 by Albert Gordon "Dutch" Roth (1890-1974), an avid photographer and one of the founders of the hiking club.
