Description

The Boulevard is a range of mountains connecting Mount LeConte with the state line. This photograph was taken from the Duck Hawk peaks near Alum Cave Bluffs. The photograph was made by Harvey Benjamin Broome (1902-1968), a Knoxville attorney, avid conservationist, and advocate for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The picture is in the collection of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club, an organization that formed after a group of outdoor enthusiasts hiked up to Mount LeConte in October 1924.
