This photograph is of Herbert Hunze, Harvey Broome, and Carl Boger on the south ridge of Huggins Hell. Made in 1931, the picture is in the collection of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club, an organization that formed after a group of outdoor enthusiasts hiked up to Mount LeConte in October 1924. The photograph was made by Albert Gordon "Dutch" Roth (1890-1974), an avid photographer and one of the founders of the hiking club.
