Description

This photograph is of Old Black (left) with Low Gap in the distance as seen from the tower on Mount Guyot. The photograph, taken in 1932, was made by Albert Gordon "Dutch" Roth (1890-1974), an avid photographer and one of the founders of the hiking club. The picture is in the collection of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club, an organization that formed after a group of outdoor enthusiasts hiked up to Mount LeConte in October 1924.
