On the reverse of this image is written, "Looking southward from the tower on Mt. Guyot we see: 1. east peak of Mt. Chapman. 2. high point (6430 ft) of Mt. Chapman 3. West peak of Mt. Chapman. 5. Mt. Sequoyah 6. Eagle Rocks. [A drawing is included] All these are on the Appalachian Trail - Walter M. Berry 8-10-32." The photograph is included in the records of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club which was formed after a group of outdoor enthusiasts hiked up to Mount LeConte in October 1924.
