Description

This 1925 photograph of the west prong of Little Pigeon River is in the records of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club. The club was formed after a group of outdoor enthusiasts hiked up to Mount LeConte in October 1924. The picture was taken just above the Indian Gap Hotel which was located at the foot of Chimney Tops, nearby to today’s Chimney Tops campground.
