Description

This photograph of Abrams Falls and pool as seen from a rock on the west bank is in the collection of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club. The club was formed after a group of outdoor enthusiasts hiked up to Mount LeConte in October 1924. The photograph was made by Carlos C. Campbell (1892-1978), a founding member of the Great Smoky Mountains Conservation Association and author of “Birth of a National Park.”
