This series of 56 photographs, mostly from the 1930s, shows various fields in cultivation in Cataloochee. The images are by various National Park Service photographers. An architect by trade, Charles S. Grossman (1900-1972) worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps, but spent most of his time on historic preservation projects for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Arthur Stupka was a park naturalist and Willis King a ranger.
