Description

The Appalachian National Park Association was concerned about conservation, in particular, logging in the mountains. This correspondence discusses the sale of timber on the Qualla Boundary in western North Carolina. Letters are dated from October 1900 through June 1901. The Association was formed in 1899 for the purpose of promoting the idea of a national park in the eastern U.S.
