This 22-page series of letters discusses a planned visit with Secretary of Agriculture James Wilson. In January 1901, the Appalachian National Park Association presented a memorial to Congress. This proposal was referred to the Committee on Agriculture. On April 17, 1900, the officers of the Park Association appeared before the Agriculture Committee to present their case. The association had subsequent dealings with the Secretary of Agriculture from then until they disbanded in 1905.
