Description

This undated, typewritten 20-page document lists various favorable comments made about the Appalachian National Park Association by newspapers and individuals from all over the country. Some comments are by well-wishers; others cite reasons to support a national park or forest reserve in the southern Appalachian mountains. The Appalachian National Park Association was formed in 1899 for the purpose of promoting the idea of a national park in the eastern U.S. Although housed in Asheville, North Carolina, the organization was a multi-state effort, attracting representatives from six southern states.
