Description

This 3-page memorandum was written in September 1901 by Appalachian National Park Association president George S. Powell (b. 1848). Powell includes a summary of the association’s accomplishments to date as well as a quote by Senator Pritchard advocating a letter writing campaign. Jeter Connelly Pritchard (1857-1921) was a North Carolina Republican Senator and supporter of the efforts of the Appalachian National Park Association.
