Description

This series of correspondence between C. P. Ambler, Elizabeth O. Abbott and Joseph T. Rothrock, of the Botanical Society of Pennsylvania, expresses support of the Appalachian National Park movement. Chase P. Ambler (1865-1932), a medical and founder of the Ambler Heights Sanitarium, was long time secretary of the Appalachian National Park Association, an organization formed in 1899 for the purpose of promoting the idea of a national park in the eastern U.S.
