Description

As Secretary of the Parks and Forestry Committee of the Asheville Board of Trade, Chase Ambler wrote a number of letters to circulate to various constituents. “Circular No. 2” was written to school superintendents encouraging them to promote the movement to establish a national park “in the Blue Ridge or Great Smokies.” The letters were penned by Chase P. Ambler (1865-1932), founding member and long-time secretary of the Appalachian National Park Association. One thousand of these circulars were printed for distribution.
