Description

In this letter of February 23, 1929, George Washington Carver writes to Mrs. J.H. (Margaret Gillespie) Slagle, mentioning that he hopes to see the Slagle family in person during the upcoming summer and hoping that the family has not been sick with the flu. He then recounts hearing from a missionary to India and how the missionary's account impacted him. Carver also indicates that he hears frequently from Slagle's son Thomas (Dick) and hopes that Dick's personality will remain the same throughout his life.
