Description
Millwrights Clifford Beck, Bill Paxton, and Alvin Franklin working on an emergency repair job to get No. 1 paper machine back in operation at the Mead plant near downtown Sylva. This photograph is part of a collection of photographs that were created for the Sylvan, a monthly 1950's publication of Sylva's Mead Corporation. Jackson Paper Manufacturing Company, a recycle-based operation, opened in 1995 in the same location.
