Description
In a letter to Dear Pauline, Horace Kephart’s daughter-in-law, on September 12, 1928, “Grandpa Kephart” replies to an earlier letter of hers saying, “The pictures of little Roy go straight to my heart.” He tells her he has been on a mountaineering trip in the Blue Ridge with photographer George Masa. He tells her that the work of obtaining the land for the Smoky Mountains National Park is all but done and there should be good roads into the park in two years.
