Description
Crowds at F.D.R. campaign rally in Asheville during 1936 presidential campaign. McCormick Field was opened in 1924 to lure back professional baseball that had waned in interest for a brief perioe. The stadium was named for bacteriologist Dr. Lewis McCormick.
